It’s Friday, Friday, Friday !

It has been raining heavily here today, so what better way to spend the afternoon but in the craft room.  I decided to get on board with some challenges so that I can try to improve my cardmaking skills.

This sketch is from Mojo Monday:

I had trouble deciding on where to start, so I turned to my trusty colour wheel.  Hello Honey and Crumb Cake were the lucky winners, so I incorporated those in a small way into the design.
Here's my effort.

Trying to find enough in my stash to utilise was problematic as I don't have huge amounts of DSP in Hello Honey. Trying to make the best of what you have is part of the fun, so I used my stitched circle dies to cut out some silver cardstock and some DSP from my stash.  Prismacolours were used to colour the chick. The small hearts were stamped in Hello Honey, while Crumb Cake was used under the hello sentiment which is also stamped in Crumb Cake. I ran some AC cream textured cardstock through a Quik cuts embossing folder to add to the bottom under the circles. A little colour was added with the inclusion of the red ribbon.

Note to self: Add more glitter and bling to next card!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!
